Getting involved

Loggerheads plays an important role in the local community and benefits greatly from the strong interest shown by local schools and community councils. It’s a place that people feel attached to, and somewhere they want to help conserve.

Without our team of dedicated volunteers much of the work to maintain and improve the park simply couldn’t happen. Volunteers are involved in all aspects of park management from general repair work to conservation.

Tasks vary greatly but can include dry stone walling, coppicing, scrub clearance, hedge laying, path revetment, step repair and creation of wildlife gardens.

These volunteers work more than 1,500 hours a year – whatever the weather. New recruits are always welcome so give us a call on 01352 810614 if you’re interested in joining the team.
